Trinitarians Raising Standards |
|
|
|
|
|
| Ossett Trinitarians are
the latest RCD League club to receive the FA's Charter Standard award.
County Development Officer Nicola Copley (pictured right) was at the
club in September to present the Award. |
| |
 |
| |
| The club has come a long
way since its' formation in 1963 and now boasts eleven teams in age
groups from under 7 to under 16. |
| |
| Club Chairman, Paul
Stephenson, is delighted with the clubs progress. |
| "We started working toward
gaining the Charter Standard award two years ago and in June 2006,
after a lot of hard work from many people, we officially gained the
award. |
| The primary motivation for
the club to achieve Charter Standard status was that we wanted to
demonstrate to existing and prospective players and their parents that
the club is run in a professional manner by qualified personnel and is
therefore able to provide a safe and friendly environment in which to
play football. |
| We now have qualified
coaches at all age groups, a Club Welfare Officer, Codes of Conducts
for players, parents, supporters and coaches and all volunteers have
been ‘CRB’ screened. We are very proud of our award and we are fully
committed to not just upholding but improving on standards already
set.”
|
| |
| The club has already
benefited financially from the award by receiving a £400 Football
Foundation grant towards new kit and equipment. |
